Leaving Kathmandu, we will drive out along the north-western hills, get lovely views of the giant Himalayan, and see brief glimpses of the lifestyle of the people passing through different rural settlements. We will also pass along the Trishuli Bazaar before reaching Dhunche. Driving ahead from Dhunche, we will reach Syapru Besi.

We will walk ahead from Syapru Besi and walk across the Bhote Koshi River and then continue our walk along the Langtang River. It takes around 5 hours to reach the Lama Hotel from Syabrubesi. We will also gradually climb to Bamboo and trek further, and we will move to Ramche at an elevation of 2,400m. Ramche is set on the coast of the Langtang River. On the way, we may also spot wild monkeys, Red Pandas, and other habituated animals in the forests. Walking further ahead, we will finally reach the Lama Hotel.

The trail continues to follow the Langtang khola, uphill steeply through a forest of hemlocks, maples and Rhododendron, past isolated lodges at Gumanchok (riverside) and ghunama to the famous lunch time spot of Ghoratabela (2970m).

There are great views of langtang lirung from here, which you can admire as the army checks post, where you need to register your langtang trek permit.

From Ghoratabela the trail uphill more gradually through U-shaped glacier valley to the villages of thangshyap, Gompa and finally langtang (3430m). The national park headquarter is here, along with a cooperative bakery, a dozen lodges and so many yaks and overnight here.

Trek from Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa it takes only the morning walking through tiny villages to uphill Kyangjin Gompa (3860m) where you will see joyful Buddhist monasteries, several accommodations and two great cheese factories (May to December).

It worthily to spending two full days here to gratefully to appreciate the mountains scenery over the Langtang Himalaya of Nepal.

On day six you will be on round trip from Kyanjin Gompa to Tsergo Ri (5033 m), the highest viewpoint of the region. It offers a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains including Mt. Langtang Ri, Mt. Dorje Lakpa and Mt. Langtang Lirung. A guest house in Kyanjin Gompa will be your halt for the night.

On day 7, we start our journey back home. We reminisce about the good memories we made and the amazing journey we had to reach the top. Our overnight stop for today will be at the Lama Hotel. It’s worth mentioning that the teahouses in the Langtang Valley trek are quite limited, so the Lama Hotel is always busy and full of travelers.

On this day, we will undertake a 5-6 hour trek, which will amaze us with its ease as the path descends downhill. The hike that took us two days to complete on the way up will be finished in just a day. However, we need to be cautious as the trail does become steep.

On day 8 of the trek, our journey takes us back to Syabru Bensi (1462 m), exactly where we began. With a heart full of memories, thousands of lessons learned, and hundreds of stories to be told, this hike will take about 5 to 6 hours.

With a mind full of thoughts along the trails, you’ll be amazed at how fast your journey concludes. However, as you’ll be descending, do not forget to be careful and mindful while walking, as the trails might be slippery, and your legs might be tired as well.

Bidding farewell to the incredible journey we’ve had, today we will leave Syabru Bensi as well. It might be a bit sad, and perhaps someday we’ll come back once again. No matter how the journey was, its memories will always linger, even though we don’t want to leave. We say goodbye to the people, and the place until next time and head towards Kathmandu and then to your hotel.

Day 10 marks the final day of your adventure in Nepal as you’ll be returning to your home country. Bidding you farewell, one of our Joyful Eco team members will be at your hotel to drive you to the airport.
