The 15 days annapurna-circuit-trek with a drive to Chame and Muktinath and return to Pokhara.
The Annapurna Circuit Trek first opened for travel in the mid-1980s and since this time has proven to be the most popular region for trekking in Nepal. Once you have been there, you will have no doubt as to why it is so popular. Rhododendron and Cyprus forests; massive snow-covered peaks and mountain ranges; the deepest valley on earth; the highest pass and mind-blowing views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs (a compact group of mountains) will be forever embedded in your memory. You will be in awe at the views of Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Dhaulagiri (8167m) (meaning white beautiful mountain in Sanskrit), Machapuchare (Fish Tail), Annapurna South and Manaslu.
Joyful Eco Trek Nepal will take you through the magnificent Kali Gandaki Gorge, (the deepest in the world); to one of the world’s highest lakes – Tilicho Lake; cascading Rupse Falls; Rhododendron, bamboo, oak and Cyprus forests; 100 varieties of orchids; unique local fauna such as Martin deer, langur monkey, and the elusive Snow Leopard are just some of the many features that make this trek unforgettable. The vast Annapurna Conservation Area is home to the amazing Sherpas and their historically rich culture and beliefs.
There are several starting points for this trek, including Chame and Muktinath. The trail follows the swift-flowing Marsyangdi River before heading north to the lush Manang Valley passing through Pisang and Braga. At around the halfway mark on this trek, you will climb to the highest altitude on the trek through the wind-swept Thorung La Pass (5416m). Once through the pass, there is a rapid descent to the holy Buddhist temple at Muktinath.
